OUR MISSION

To provide for orphans whose parents died from HIV/AIDS. We will provide food, shelter, education and health care for children from pre-school to secondary.

OUR VISION

The Lumu Kabasindi Foundation (LKF) will help nurture orphans and develop their skills through quality education so that they can be self-sustaining members of the global community.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I am pleased and excited to embark on this worthy cause.

The Lumu Kabasindi Foundation is a tribute to my parents, Bossa Lumu and Kajoka Kabasindi, who loved and helped other children that were not part of our family. I am a very lucky person that my parents gave me love and education which has made it possible for me to be the kind of person that lam today.

I have always put aside 25% of all my art prints published in my art career. These prints have been donated to a number of organizations along the years to help raise needed funds for poor children around the world. For example, UNICEF, World Vision Canada, Artistic Canada ("Hope Initiative", which provides prevention, care and advocacy programs for children and those affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa) to name a few.

Sometime back I began to put in place the Lumu Kabasindi Foundation that will bring new hope to orphans whose parents died from HIV/AIDS in Uganda.

A staggering number of Ugandan children have been orphaned by war and the HIV/AIDS pandemic that have ravaged Africa today. Thousands of these children are hit by tragedy at a very young age and are left to care for themselves and their siblings. The foundation will provide some basic tools to these orphans. We will provide food, shelter, education and health care for children from pre-school to secondary.

I have donated some of my land in Uganda where the foundation will be built. I’m also very pleased to acknowledge a kind donation of a brick making machine by Mr. JM.

I would like to invite friends, collectors of my artwork, supporters, donors, and volunteers to join us in this worthy cause.

Thank you.

President and Founder,

David Kibuuka
